What is a Round The Clock Bet?
A Round The Clock (RTC) is a sequential conditional bet chain from 3 or more selections. Returns from each winning selection are placed on the next in the sequence, cycling round like a clock face.
How It Works
With selections A, B, C, D the chains run: A→B→C→D, B→C→D→A, C→D→A→B, D→A→B→C. Each chain starts at a different point and wraps around. The number of individual bets equals the number of selections.
RTC vs Rounder
A Rounder uses 3 selections with simple A→B, B→C, C→A pairs. An RTC extends this to longer chains — each chain runs through all selections starting from a different point.
Example
$5 RTC on 4 selections at 2.00 each (total stake: $20):
- Chain starting at A: $5 → A wins ($10) → B wins ($20) → C wins ($40) → D wins ($80)
- Each chain can return significant amounts if multiple consecutive selections win
- If only 1 selection wins, only chains starting at that selection produce any return
